On-Site Training

A Part of the ISS Service Solution

In technical fields, where precision, safety, and efficiency are critical, comprehensive training is essential for both individuals and organizations to thrive and remain competitive. ISS trains: 1) our customers how to use and maintain the systems we install; 2) our employees to the highest industry standards; 3) the public in both Electronic Security Systems and OSHA 30.

Integrated Security Solutions, Inc. (ISS) provides onsite training for each client, as part of the Electronic Security Solution. ISS develops training course material for the system managers, operators, and maintenance of the installed ESS systems, equipment, hardware, and software.  The integrated training provides diverse delivery media in both paper-based and Computer-Based Training.  ISS delivers training media that supports both group-paced and individualized instruction on specific tasks pertaining to ESS.  To meet the training objectives, initial training will be in the form of group-paced instruction using Computer-Aided Instruction training materials.

Manufacturer Training Courses

ISS has exceptional labs for a variety of ESS equipment training. This creates a perfect place for us to host training from our variety of manufacturers. Our technicians take these courses to gain expertise in installing, programming, and trouble shooting. While some of these courses focus on the installation and maintenance of equipment, others focus on operating Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control, Close-Circuit Television, and more. These are geared towards a class that our customers can go to in order to understand their systems. ISS’ goal to connect our customers with subject matter experts, that designed, installed, and programmed the systems they use every day from both the manufacturers’ and our training experts. These courses are also available for the public in order to gain knowledge while entering a new career field, or refresh knowledge as the world of technology advances.

Montana Installers Course

As a requirement of the Montana Private Security Program, Security Alarm Installers must be licensed by the State. While the Montana Department of Labor does allow Installers to submit training certificates from online security courses as part of their license application, we at ISS believe there is no substitute for hands-on instruction when it comes to installation skills. For that reason, we have developed a 40-hour, in-person training course where students don’t just learn the basic principles of Security Alarm Installation, but also the how and why of security integration, along with the hands-on training using the tools of the trade. ISS holds this course each quarter at our Headquarters in Kalispell.

Each of our instructors brings decades of field installation experience to the classroom. Each student will be led through a comprehensive series of lessons focused on the information need to begin a career as a Security Alarm Installer.

Classroom Topics Include:

  • Alarm Basics
  • Interior and Exterior Sensors
  • Alarm Annunciation
  • Access Control
  • Closed Circuit Television
  • Data Transmission
  • Networking Essentials

OSHA 30 Training

Within ISS’s robust training program, our Corporate Safety Officer has put together an exceptional weeklong course, resulting in an OSHA 30 certification. At ISS, safety is our priority, both in the field and in the office. Within the course, students will learn the best practices of safety while traveling, and on the job. In addition, the course involves how to assess a situation for hazards, and the best approaches to mitigate risk. The ISS Corporate Safety Officer’s mission is to create a fun and welcoming environment where people can ask questions to fully understand the important and best practices of creating a safe work place.
